The SeaHornet ROVThe SeaHornet is a mechanical engineering student design project at Sacramento State University (CSUS) by Jacob McGrew, Benjamin Shell, and Derek Hartl. The SeaHornet is a small ROV (approximately 12" wide x 10" high x 19" long) that is controlled from a Windows laptop. The project began in August 2006 and was officially completed in May 2007.

We'd like to thank Carrillo Underwater Systems for their generous donation of two C-Lites! They just arrived today and we haven't had a chance to try them yet, but I think this is the last major component we need. Now we just need to finish putting things together and seal the cables going in and out of our electronics housings (currently our #1 issue). |
